Foggy...

So it's been so foggy today! Last night as Martine and I put up the decorations I saw the fog slowly start rollin in... And then this morning you could hardly see... With all the fog out! It's so crazy! I've not seen anything like this the whole year! Hollands got some CRAZY weather! And I know its lame to write about the weather... But believe me! When you''re on a bike as much as Tess and I are.. The weather starts to get interesting!!! I've almost met my goal of watching all of the friends series.. I'm now onto the second disc of the tenth season... I'm quite proud! And I hope I really can make it! I need to do some seriously slacking! And stop all this working nonsense! I'll do my best I suppose.. That's all one can do! Yeah.. nothing to say! Wait! Jet did the funniest thing today... I video taped it.. lets see if I can post it.... Yay! It seems to have worked! Its so funny! At least to me it is!!!!

A blog to let you know... stuff...

So I will start out by saying that we found a new au pair.. This happened sometime last week... I just forgot to mention it... She seems really nice! And she is from Spane! So since she is in the European Union she can stay as long as she likes.. She seems really sweet and easy going... And she has friends from Holland... So that was part of the appeal for her.. She came last week to meet us.. and right away they decided that she was the one! So tahts really great... Thijs said he liked her too so that's really really great!!!!
I go home in 28 days... Tess just found out her family isn't coming to pick her up at the airport... and I'm hoping that my family will come get me... Then Tess can just ride with us.. I hope that works out.. I'm really getting excited to go home.. I think the season is making home sick.. NA d I will be glad to get home soon! But I know it will only take me a week or so to really really miss Holland and wish I were back here! I mean I already do wish it... But yeah.... So if you live in St George you should call me up when I get home and hang out with me... Since like all of my friends moved away on me.. I have no friends left.. So if you are my friend.. Then yay! Lets hang out!
The house work is nearly done! They say it will be all done by the end of the week! Which is great... But I don't think the au pair room will be complete by then... I have no idea... But it should be done by the time the new au pair arrives on January 6th... Haha! Oh well.. It's not really my room.. so I wont care... I almost would rather just stay down here in my room I"m in till I leave instead of having to move things all around! Haha! But I suppose that when I pack to go up stairs I will just pack my bags all up to go home and leave a few things out... Probably the best idea... Yeah.. So... I know its dumb.. But I was talking to my mom yesterday and it made me realise how excited I am to go home and get to go to church every Sunday.. I really do like to go to Church and it will make it so much easier to go when I dont have to make an hour long trek to get there... And when its not in Dutch... Yeah... So I'm excited for that... But.. I wont lie.. there are so many things I am not excited about.. But I will try to focus on the happy thoughts.. Like! I get to see Lucy! And I will get to babysit her.. and get paid to do so.. for at least the first month that I am home! So I'm happy about that.. SO I get to make up for lost time! Oh I'm sooooo soooooooo excited to see Lucy! It's interesting that I'm most excited to see a person I've never met.. But I am also VERY excited to see my mom and the rest of my family!
Also.. My mom is so sweet! She decided to leave up Christmas at our house till I get home.. Sur this does mean that I will probably be in charge of putting it all away.. WHICH is NOT an easy task.. But I'm tough... I will do it! I'm also exited to cook when I get home.. I don't want it to become this big thing.... But as long as I'm not working and I'm at home... I figure why not help cook... So yeah! Well alright... That's just about all I have to say tonight...
Oh yeah! Tonight I helped Martine put up some Christmas decorations... She had a few new ones.. and we made a bunch more.. Because Thijs has been requesting taht we make the house look nice for Kerst... aka Christmas... So we tried to spice things up a bit... But since the downstairs is a complete mess we couldn't do much.. But the windows look great!!!! And we will put the Christmas tree up as soon as the finish th flooring downstairs! Any day now!

It's getting so cold here...

So it's startin to get to that time of the year when it's really really cold! Well this time has been fastly approaching on us.. But man oh man the last few days on the bike have been really really bad! I think it's all the wetness in the air... It's like how in the summer... the 70 degree weather is awful! So now.. it's like 35degree's and the moisture in the air is killing me! When I ride my bike my cheeks ache with a sharp freezing sensation... It's really like outrageous! And I hate it! Everything hurts so much! And it's the wind and air that is doing it to me! So for that and some other reasons I am happy to be going home soon.. Not that St George will be so much better... But I wont be on a bike pulling two kids behind me! But I do hope to get a bike soon after I go home... And I want to ride my bike as long as I can... until I get tired.. and then once I'm a bit tired.. .Then I will turn back to go home.. But it wont be such sharp cold pains...
my hands are also cold.. I like to have fresh air in my room... so I keep the window open a crack... But then I get too cold... Oh... while I'm at this complaining thing... There are 3 ways of spelling 2, to and too... If you are saying the number.. its two.... if you are going to some place its to... and last.. and most often confused... If you're describing something as possibly extreme... then you say "woah man! That's too much salsa for me to eat!" oh and its also "me too!" and not "me to." that's like "me to? where? huh?" So yes there is my rant about 2, to and too!
So hmm... I think I'm all ranted out!

the Wait is.. I lost all the music from my ipod last week! And I'm especially sad at the time.. Because I also lost all my Christmas music! And I need it to feel like I'm at home.. So.. If you have any good stuff you would like to email me I would really really love that! Especially my Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra stuff (mom and Laura)
Ok that's it for real...

By the sea by the sea by the beautiful sea!

So Saturday we went to the sea! Yes we did! Anel wanted to swim so I was like! Heck yes lets go! So the day started out normal enough.. I missed my bus... met the girls later.. but I didn't miss the second bus I had to take so that was good... Then we rode to Den Haag... to... Scheveningen! It was such fun! When we got there it was already a very cold afternoon... We took the tram straight to the beach.. and bam! We were there!!!!
Yeah we kinda chickened out in the end and didn't swim.. Well! I really would have... but Anel chickened out.. and I didn't want to be miserable all by myself! So I just ran in the water with her.. We took so many pictures!!!! And spent like an hour on the beach... Then we walked around the boardwalk and checked out some stuff... had some tea I brought... And then that was it... we went home.. haha! It was already getting dark at like 4.. so yeah... Plus! I made some homemade chicken noodle soup and it was calling us home! On the way back to the tram! This fight broke out! IT was so funny!!!! It was like this old man in his 60's and like this young guy in his 30's it was so funny! And they really were throwing punches and once they were pulled apart from the ladies of the group, they continued and tried to kick each other! IT was so funny! really! and we had no idea what was happening to make things better!
When we got home... We had our soup with bread.. then played a game of Phase Ten... At around 10 we were bored.. So we went for a walk to the cool play stuff outside... since I won I got to pick what we did after phase ten.. and that's what I picked! We had a lot of fun and took loads more pics! The whole day was pretty dang fun! haha!So I hope you enjoy the pics!!! They are below in a photo bucket slide show!

Sea Bathing....

So a couple weeks ago our au pair friend, Anel, she said she wanted to go to the beach and swim before she went home... So! That's what we're doing today! And yes... It has been snowing off and on the last 2 weeks.. and Yes I know it is December.. But in Anels defence... She is fromSouth Africa! So it's like 100 degree's back home right now! So yeah! We have it all planned.. We're meeting and ghoing to Den Haag "The Hauge" And there we will check soem stuff out.. and then take the tram to the sea and swim! We've packed nice warm clothes.. and layers of them too! And we're going to swim in our shorts! Then quickly get back into our dry warm clothes! TEss is even bringing her hot water bottle and I'll bring my tea! So we can keep our clothes warm... and warm up quickly!!! Then we're coming back to my house.. the family is again out of town for the weekend! And we will have some yummy chicken noodle soup I made yesterday.. along with some pumpkin pie! It''s gonna be fun i think!!!!
Oh yes and don't worry! We will take pics!!! So you can see us freeze our butts off! Tess is also coming.. But not swimming.. So she can handle the camera duties!!!!!
Oh yes and I have a bit of a cold.. Hope this doesn't make it worse!!!!
